After more than a year apart, NADA Show returned live and in-person to Las Vegas on Thursday, March 10—and the Auto Industry Event of the Year is bigger, better, and more electric than ever.

Professionals from all aspects of the automotive retail sector are on hand at the Las Vegas Convention Center to attend dealer franchise meetings, industry networking events and the NADA Expo. Over the course of four days, attendees will find 600-plus exhibitors, more than 100 workshops, and an impressive list of keynote speakers.

Just a few blocks away, the concurrent American Truck Dealers (ATD) Show kicked off at the Encore Las Vegas, including the announcement of the Truck Dealer of the Year– Kari Rihm of Rihm Kenworth.

NADA Gives Back to Feed Families, Children

NADA continued its’ long history of supporting local organizations in cities that host its annual show, donating $25,000 to the Three Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s only food bank and the area’s largest hunger-relief organization. This is the second donation in five years that NADA has made to Three Square Food Bank. In 2016, NADA donated a new delivery van valued at $52,000 to the organization.

Leading Edge Educational Programming

With more than 100 education sessions and workshops, attendees to NADA Show 2022 will dive into every trend, issue and update affecting dealerships today.

NADA Show’s educational programming kicked off with the “Plugging into What’s Possible: Inside the EV Opportunity for Dealers” Super Session. Moderated by former Automotive News publisher Jason Stein, this panel of industry leaders, EV experts and progressive dealers discussed product, partnerships and possibilities at the retail level.

The Super Session was followed by the first of NADA Show’s education sessions, workshops and peer-to-peer Exchange sessions that dive into every trend, issue and update affecting dealerships today –all chosen by NADA Show attendees.

New this year: the Dealer Learning Lab, 20-minute, TED-style talks from presenters in a casual setting on the Expo floor. The Dealer Learning Lab is located at Booth 1911W, next to the NADA Pavilion in the West Expo Hall.

Throughout the day, top industry experts joined NADA hosts on the Live Stage in the Main Hall to offers solutions to build dealership success. Highlights from the Thursday sessions included “Dealers are now in the EV Driver’s Seat,” sponsored by IHS Markit as part of the EV Daily segments and “Measuring Your Digital ROI Through Google Analytics,” sponsored by Affinitiv as part of the Digital Daily segments.

Be sure to download the NADA Show mobile app for more details on all the educational sessions on offer over the remaining three days.

Charged Up About EVs

No doubt everyone at NADA Show 2022 is buzzing about electric vehicles. From the Main Stage to the Expo floor to the Exchange sessions, EVs are the hot topic among attendees, exhibitors and presenters.

If that’s not enough, there’s also an EV Solutions Center at Booth 6557N in the North Hall for one-on-one discussions and Q&As with EV experts who can get into the details and offer strategies on how to successfully transition into the EV marketplace.

Don’t forget to cruise through Electric Avenue—an interactive exhibit on the history of EVs, success stories of trend-setting dealers, and a glimpse at an electric future located within the Main Stage area.

NADA Hosts Its’ Biggest Show Welcome Reception Ever

Speaking of electric, Thursday night’s NADA Show 2022 Welcome Reception at Allegiant Stadium lit up the Vegas sky. This once-in-a-lifetime networking evening in the brand new home of Las Vegas professional football featured a rousing tailgate atmosphere supplied by Drumbots, the official drumline of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights.

Guests took pictures with a full-scale DeLorean displayed on the stadium field to help celebrate getting “Back to the Future” while multiple lounges throughout the stadium offered games and entertainment as well as gourmet food and top-shelf beverages. The evening ended with an exclusive live musical performance by the Grammy Award-winning band Train.

Looking Ahead at Day Two

Day two of the show kicks off with the ribbon-cutting and official opening of the NADA Show Expo on Friday, March 11. The expanded Expo will take full advantage of the recent expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
