Atkins Kroll, a Tamuning, Guam-based auto dealership, has been recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for their outstanding safety program with Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) status. The company's recognition marks the first SHARP approval in the U.S. territory of Guam.

Atkins Kroll began their road to SHARP status through collaboration with the OSHA On-Site Consultation Program in 2019. Their enrollment in the program affirmed the company’s commitment to safety and resulted in the identification of potential workplace hazards. Subsequently, the dealership developed and implemented a program where dealership employees could report safety concerns and hazards, and adopted an app that notifies leadership of concerns requiring attention.

Atkins Kroll was given SHARP status after a thorough review of their safety program. The company's safety record was found to be exceptional, with a low incidence rate of workplace injuries and illnesses. The company was also recognized for their commitment to continuous improvement and their involvement in community outreach programs aimed at promoting workplace safety.

Atkins Kroll's commitment to safety and sustainability serves as a model for other dealerships across the country. By prioritizing workplace safety, Atkins Kroll has created a better work environment and a culture of safety that is embedded in all aspects of the company's operations.
