Video: Dealers Improve Sales Operations with NADA 20 Group Live
MCLEAN, Va. (April 8, 2015) - Auto dealers are improving their new- and used-vehicle sales operations with a new NADA 20 Group member benefit. NADA 20 Group Live is an online program that delivers daily, real-time data on key performance indicators.
"NADA 20 Group members can go online to check and compare their sales performance against dealers in their market and other 20 Group members," said NADA President Peter Welch. "It's cost effective and makes dealerships run more efficiently."
NADA 20 Group Live provides 24 performance indicators, which include new- and used-vehicle sales data, average gross per unit, days to turn, percent financed, service contract penetration and customer demographic mix.
"It keeps me ahead of the game. It allows us to move faster. We're running full speed because we are getting real-time data," said Anthony Brownlee, managing partner at Land Rover Denver in Littleton, Colo. "So if there is an area of opportunity, if there's an area of strength we recognize it right away. So if something is working, we want to do more of it. If something is not working, we can adjust it immediately."
"Dealers are using the data to make better decisions, such as having the right mix of vehicle inventory," said NADA 20 Group consultant George Nance. "The NADA 20 Group Live information is instantaneous. We can tell immediately which data is trending. Where I am selling and not selling."
There is no charge for current 20 Group members.
"The quicker you can react to something that's happening, the better off you're going to be," said James Vanderwerme, general manager of a Land Rover Jaguar dealership in Chattanooga, Tenn.
