Anticipation was in the air and a crowd gathered outside the Expo Hall as day two of NADA Show 2020 got underway with a welcome message from NADA Chairman Charlie Gilchrist, NADA Show Chairman Michael Joe Cannon, and NADA’s head of Public Affairs Jonathan Collegio.

“Dealers love Las Vegas and what better time to love Las Vegas than Valentine’s weekend,” Cannon said.

It’s been an exciting year as NADA chairman, Gilchrist said, noting that his meeting with Vice President Mike Pence in the fall was “one of the highlights of my career.” He also followed up on his “You Are NADA” message from last year: “I’m so much more of a better dealer today because I got involved and I want every dealer to get involved,” Gilchrist said.

Gilchrist also touched on NADA’s work on tariffs, the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement, and the 63 meetings NADA had with OEMs over the last year.
