The Automotive Forum Returns to NYC on April 16

Top executives from Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, Mitsubishi and Genesis and others are slated to speak at the forum.

The 2019 Automotive Forum – held on the eve of press days at the New York International Auto Show – returns to the Grand Hyatt in midtown Manhattan for a full day of speaker presentations and panel discussions on Tuesday, April 16.

The 10th annual Automotive Forum – hosted by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), J.D. Power and the New York auto show – brings together automotive executives, new-car dealers, thought leaders and others to discuss issues that will impact the U.S. and global auto industry and overall economy.

The OEM speaker lineup for 2019 includes:

  • Bob Carter, executive vice president of sales, Toyota Motor North America;
  • Scott Keogh, president and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America;
  • Anders Gustafsson, president and CEO, Volvo Car USA; and
  • Fred Diaz, president and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors North America.

In addition, forum attendees will receive credentials to attend press days (April 17-18) at the New York auto show, which will display about 1,000 vehicles in 950,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Javits Center.

Other speakers include Joel Prakken, chief U.S. economist, IHS Markit; NADA’s Charlie Gilchrist (chairman), Peter Welch (president and CEO) and Paul Walser (industry relations chairman); J.D. Power’s Doug Betts (senior vice president and general manager, global automotive) and Thomas King (senior vice president, data and analytics division); and the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association’s Lee Certilman (chairman) and Mark Scheinberg (president).

The registration fee includes a networking breakfast and lunch, the forum’s keynote and panel sessions, an evening networking reception, and a credential to attend press days at the auto show.
