Scott McCandless is president of McCandless Truck Center in Aurora, Co. and a truck industry veteran with 40 plus years of experience. He started working for his father's dealership in Las Vegas, Nevada, in high school. When he left in 2000 to take over the International truck dealership in Denver, Colorado, Scott had grown the leasing company award-winning operation with more than 250 units. As chairman of the American Truck Dealers (ATD), McCandless represents franchised medium- and heavy-duty new-truck dealers on the board of directors of the National Automobile Dealers Association. (Term: March 2022-February 2024)

Scott's knowledge and industry experience have helped him to build and develop a great team that is dedicated to customer service and high performance. As a result, he has earned Navistar's Circle of Excellence award 8 times. He has served on the International Truck Dealer Council representing his region, and he was elected as the Chairman of the International Truck Dealers Council in 2012 and 2013. In 2015, Scott was elected ATD’s Truck Dealer of the Year.
