ATD President Laura Perrotta Takes the Helm

On April 11, Laura Perrotta stepped into the new role of President of the American Truck Dealers (ATD). For the first time ATD will have a president leading the truck dealers to advance commercial truck dealer-specific issues.

Perrotta has worked in the association world for the past twenty-one years focusing on legislative affairs. She recently left the American Highway Users Alliance (Highway Users) where she served as president and CEO. The Highway Users is a 300-member coalition of transportation companies and associations including the trucking industry that focus on advocacy for highway funding, roadway safety, and congestion relief. Prior to leading the Highway Users, she worked for the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) as senior director of legislative affairs and focused heavily on ATD issues.“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to head ATD and I know we have a lot of work ahead of us to move the organization to the next level,” Perrotta said. “I truly enjoyed my time working with the truck dealers and I love trucks, so this is a very exciting opportunity for me personally. My door is always open, and I hope you reach out to me any time.”
