NADA and VFC to Announce National Partnership at Upcoming Event
TYSONS, Va. — The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and Vehicles for Change (VFC) will announce a national partnership on May 27 to expand dealer participation in the life-changing Vehicles for Change low-income car ownership program, helping provide reliable transportation to families in need nationwide.
As an example of how dealers can participate in the program, the #1 Cochran dealership group will award two vehicles to local families during the event at #1 Cochran Buick GMC Monroeville in Pennsylvania. In addition, a step-by-step playbook will be released that will provide dealers across the nation with the information they need to participate in VFC’s transformative program.
“America’s franchised new-car dealers have a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities they serve,” said Rob Cochran, chairman of NADA and CEO of #1 Cochran. “This event demonstrates the powerful impact dealers can have. And after the playbook launches, interested dealers can easily host similar events in their communities and help change lives.”
For generations, auto dealers have served as leaders and trusted partners within their communities, supporting local families, schools, nonprofits, and workforce initiatives. The nationalization of the NADA and Vehicles for Change program builds on that tradition of service by helping families facing transportation barriers gain access to dependable vehicles that support employment, childcare, healthcare, and long-term economic stability.
Since its founding, Vehicles for Change has helped more than 8,200 families access affordable vehicles through its Keys to Independence Program, helping recipients maintain employment and grow financial independence while creating new opportunities and experiences for their families.
“Reliable transportation changes everything,” said Vehicles for Change Board Chair Andy Koblenz. “Through this partnership, dealers across the country will have the tools and framework needed to help hardworking families access opportunity, maintain employment, and build a stronger future.”
Media are invited to attend the official program launch and vehicle award event on May 27 at 10 a.m. at 4520 William Penn Hwy, Monroeville, PA 15146, where two local families will receive vehicles through the program.
