Peterbilt Dealer Terry Martin Selected as 2026 Truck Dealer of the Year
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (February 5, 2026) — Terry Martin, dealer principal and vice president of Martin’s Peterbilt in London, Ky, was named the 2026 Truck Dealer of the Year today at the ATD Show 2026 in Las Vegas. The national award, sponsored by American Truck Dealers (ATD), Trucks, Parts, Service, and Procede Software, recognizes commercial truck dealers for business performance, industry leadership, and service to their communities.
"I am truly honored to be named Truck Dealer of the Year," said Martin. "I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our amazing customers, our dedicated employees, our partner Peterbilt, and my family for their unwavering support. Without each of them, we would not be here today."
Terry joined the family dealership in 1991 as a warehouse clerk and, after working in numerous positions throughout the company, was named vice president in 2000. Terry became dealer principal in 2013 when his uncle retired.
Under Martin’s leadership, Martin’s Peterbilt has expanded from one to six locations in Kentucky and West Virginia. Martin has also served 10 years on the board of the Kentucky Trucking Association.
Martin was one of four nominated commercial truck dealers, including:
- Patrick Chastang, dealer principal and chief operating officer of Chastang Ford in Houston.
- Patrick Jacobs, president of Carco International in Fort Smith, Ark.
- Ryan Young, president of Young Trucks in Canton, Ohio.
Ryan Young was recognized as the award finalist.
The nominees were selected by state, metro, and national dealer association leaders. A panel of judges from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business evaluated the nominees and selected the winner.
Martin will have the opportunity to serve as a guest lecturer at the university to share his professional story with students interested in entrepreneurship, and will serve on the ATD Board of Line Representatives for a one-year term in a non-voting role.
