Fitzgerald Auto Malls has launched the Jack Fitzgerald Center for Sales and Leadership Excellence (JFCOE), a companywide initiative focused on developing sales and leadership talent from within while delivering a consistent, high‑quality guest experience across the organization.

As a 100% employee--owned dealership group, Fitzgerald Auto Malls has designed the Center to support long‑term careers and build accountability among employee-owners. Rather than relying primarily on external hiring or short‑term training, the JFCOE creates a structured approach to developing people internally, aligning skills, behavior, and leadership expectations across all locations.

At the core of the program is the company’s FitzWay philosophy, which emphasizes trust, transparency, and treating people the right way. The Center provides a repeatable framework to ensure those values are consistently reflected in how leaders coach, teams operate, and guests are served.

“Jack believed that good people do good things,” said Rob Smith, president of Fitzgerald Auto Malls. “This center is an investment in our people and a way to ensure that belief is reflected in how we serve others every day.”

The JFCOE uses a blended learning model that combines live instruction, online education, and external facilitators, like NADA, to support continuous development at every stage of a career. By investing in sales and leadership capability, and cultural consistency, Fitzgerald Auto Malls is strengthening its workforce and positioning the organization for long-term success, a best practice as they build sustainable automotive career pipelines.
