Kirt Frye is president of Sunnyside Automotive Group in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He started in the automotive business in the parts department of Sunshine Honda in Plymouth, Mich. in 1982.
He and dealership founder Tom Bohlander built the business into a successful three-state operation with 13 stores in Michigan, Ohio and New Hampshire. Frye bought Bohlander out of all Ohio operations in 1997 and expanded the group to include eight stores.
Frye serves as 2026 NADA Treasurer and represents metropolitan Cleveland's franchised new-car dealers on the board of directors of the National Automobile Dealers Association. (Term: April 2013-January 2029)
