TYSONS, Va. (July, 22, 2026)—The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) released the following statement after the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation advanced the Connected Vehicle Security Act of 2026:

“NADA strongly supports the policy goals behind the 'Connected Vehicle Security Act of 2026,’ that passed the Senate Commerce Committee today, as it is critical to ban Chinese OEM entrants to the U.S. This legislation would protect consumer privacy, national security, and the U.S. economy against unfair competition. We will continue to closely evaluate the legislation to minimize any unintended consequences for dealers and American jobs.”
