Automotive Specialist with a Concentration in Electric Vehicles
- Results in Department of Labor certification
- Based on 197 competencies
- 60% ICE and 40% EV
- Lasts from 18 to 24 months
- Includes 2,000 hours of hands-on experience
- Requires 405 hours of related technical instruction
- Can be completed in-person and online
- Aligned with curriculum at ASE-accredited schools
- Features strong mentor-apprentice relationship
- Includes two wage increases for apprentices
- One mid-program and one at completion
- Supports content for ASE Certification Tests:
- A4: Suspension and Steering
- A5: Brakes
- G1: Auto Maintenance and Light Repair
- xEV: Electric Vehicles Awareness and Safety
(Apprentices must pay for and pass certification tests)
