NADA Board of Directors

Rob Cochran is Chairman & CEO of #1 Cochran, the largest automotive retailer in Western Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio. A second-generation leader, Rob has guided the family-owned business for more than 35 years, expanding it into a dynamic enterprise defined by innovation, diversification, and growth. 

Founded in 1965 as a single-point Pontiac dealership, #1 Cochran today operates 35 dealerships representing 20 brands, along with 13 Body by Cochran collision centers and a wholesale parts distribution center. Cochran began his automotive career in 1987, following his graduation from Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned dual degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management. 

Cochran is the 2026 chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and represents Western Pennsylvania’s franchised new-car dealers on the NADA board of directors. He also currently serves as a Pittsburgh Branch Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. (Term: February 2020-January 2029)
