John T. Emerson is president of Emerson Chevrolet Buick in Auburn, Maine. He started in the retail auto business in 1970, washing cars for his father at Louis Chevrolet in Lewiston, Maine, and began selling cars full time after graduating from Northwood University. Emerson represents Maine's franchised new-car dealers on the board of directors of the National Automobile Dealers Association. (Term: January 2014-February 2026)
