As dealers adapt to increasing expenses, navigating the recession, and challenges hiring and retaining technicians, they should reassess every department in their dealership and make targeted adjustments to drive them forward.

NADA Show 2025, which will be held January 23-26 (Thursday-Sunday) in New Orleans, will focus on the latest trends in technology advancements, including digital retailing, as well as the best ways to retain customers. Teach dealers how to hire the best personnel and nurture existing talent, with diversity and inclusion and emotional intelligence. Help dealers stay on top of what customers need and want, and be ahead of the trends that matter most.

Designing Your Proposal

  • Select your preferred session type (20-minute Dealer Learning Lab session, 30-minute EV Solutions Center session or 45-minute workshop).                                   
  • Select your presentation style (interactive or lecture).
  • Select your content level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
  • Craft your proposal content to help drive the future of the auto industry.  

What to Submit

  • Your written proposal based on the required criteria
  • Your speaker profile information 
  • Your original 90-second video about the proposed NADA Show 2024 session (see video submission examples)

Selection Process

Submit your proposal by the April 14, 2023 deadline. Education sessions will be selected by our NADA Workshop Selection Committee. Speaker selection notifications will be delivered in June 2023.

Tips for Your Proposal

For the Workshop Selection Committee to give your proposal proper consideration, please include:

  • Synopsis – Clearly state, in 100 words, or less the content that will be covered in the session. This will be used to promote your workshop on the NADA Show website.
  • Marketing Blurb – In 60 words or less please provide a description of your workshop to be used in NADA Show promotional materials, including the NADA Show mobile app and program directory.
  • Comprehensive Description – Provide a complete overview of your session, expanding on what you listed under Synopsis.
  • Intended Audience – Identify your target audience for this session.
  • Presentation Activities – Explain the learning techniques you will use in your presentation to connect with your audience.
  • Learning Objectives – Provide brief, clear, specific statements of knowledge attendees will gain. Define specific tasks using relevant verbs. Do NOT use verbs difficult to measure objectively, such as “understand” or “know.” Instead, use verbs such as identify, define, list, interpret, classify, calculate, formulate, apply, solve, prepare, operate, plan, repair, explain, implement or estimate.
  • References – List any source references you will use to support your presentation, such as books, white papers, websites or case studies.
     

Selecting a Topic

NADA seeks proposals that align with these tracks:

  • Fixed Operations
  • Human Capital
  • Leadership
  • Digital & Marketing
  • Variable Operations
  • Business Essentials & Innovations

Session Title

Session titles should not exceed 60 characters (including spaces). Attendees should be able to discern the content from title. Avoid titles that start with “A,” “How to,” or “The.” Verbs should be present tense, e.g., “Create” not “Creating.” NADA reserves the right to revise all session titles.

Presentation Format

Most sessions are presented by a single speaker, with a maximum of two. Panels have a maximum of four speakers, including the moderator.

Adding Speakers

Ensure all speaker profile information is accurate. You must include all speakers on this proposal, or your submission will be incomplete. If entering more than one speaker, click “Add New Presenter” after the first speaker's name is entered.

Presentation Style and Difficulty Level

Choose between interactive and lecture-style. Interactive sessions involve active audience participation with round-table room setup and are not recorded. Lectures are setup in a traditional format where speakers present from a stage in a theater-style room. Select the degree of content difficulty for the attendee: beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Upload Video Link

Create an original video (maximum length 90 seconds) and briefly show the speaker(s) outlining critical takeaways for participants. The video submission is one of the most important items considered when determining whether the Workshop Selection Committee accepts your proposal.

Submit Proposal

This is a summary of each section; and any incomplete sections will be identified. Once all sections are complete, click “submit proposal.” You can print a copy of the submission and will receive an email confirmation for your records. The Workshop Selection Committee will review, and all prospective presenters will be notified with a decision.


Important Note: Because we want to be sure presenters are well prepared and their education education sessions are successful, two virtual speaker orientations will be held leading up to NADA Show 2024. Speakers are required to attend both.
