Most international visitors are required to obtain a visa to enter the United States. To see if a visa is required for your country, visit the U.S. Department of State website.
The following steps are general guidelines and may help you when obtaining a visa.
- Request your Letter of invitation: To obtain a letter of invitation, as required for a temporary visa, please email international@nada.org. Letters are issued only after you have completed and confirmed your registration for NADA Show.
- Obtain a Visa: Apply for a visa.
- Schedule Your Embassy Appointment: Schedule your appointment with a U.S. Embassy or Consulate as soon as you receive your letter, as processing times may vary. View the list of locations — you’ll be able to navigate directly to each embassy or consulate’s website for specific scheduling information.
- Pay the Visa Application Fee:
Pay the non-refundable visa application fee (currently $185 for most visitor visas). Check your local U.S. embassy or consulate website for exact payment instructions. - Check for a Reciprocity Fee (if applicable)
Some applicants must pay an additional reciprocity fee depending on their country of origin. Check your country’s requirements. - Prepare and Attend Your Interview
Bring your passport, DS-160 confirmation, visa fee receipt, invitation letter, supporting documents (e.g., proof of employment, financial support, and ties to your home country), and any other required documents. - Additional Visa FAQs
