Call for Speakers

The ATD Show 2025 Call for Speakers closed April 19.

Are you ready to present innovative educational content to today’s franchised commercial truck dealers? ATD Show 2025 attendees need to hear your message.

Designing Your Proposal

  • Choose your specific workshop focus from a list of hot industry topics, pre-determined by our ATD Subject Matter Experts.
  • Select your presentation style (interactive or lecture).
  • Select your content level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
  • Craft your proposal content to help drive the future of the truck industry.

Tips for Your Proposal

For the ATD Board Committee to give your proposal proper consideration, please include:

  • Synopsis – Clearly state, in 75 words or fewer, the content that will be covered during the session. This will be used to promote your workshop on the ATD Show website.
  • Marketing Blurb – In 35 words or fewer, please provide a description of your workshop to be used in ATD Show promotional materials, including the program directory.
  • Comprehensive Description – Provide a complete overview of your workshop, expanding on what you listed under Synopsis.
  • Intended Audience – Identify your target audience for this workshop.
  • Presentation Activities – Explain the learning techniques you will use to connect with your audience.
  • Learning Objectives – Provide brief, clear, specific statements of knowledge attendees will gain. Define specific tasks using relevant verbs. Do NOT use verbs difficult to measure objectively, such as “understand” or “know.” Instead, use verbs such as identify, define, list, interpret, classify, calculate, formulate, apply, solve, prepare, operate, plan, repair, explain, implement or estimate.
  • References – List any source references you will use to support your presentation, such as books, white papers, websites or case studies.

Workshop Title

Workshop titles should not exceed 60 characters (including spaces). Attendees should be able to discern the content from title. Avoid titles that start with “A,” “How to,” or “The.” Verbs should be present tense, e.g., “Create” not “Creating.” NADA reserves the right to revise all session titles.

Presentation Format

Most workshops are presented by a single speaker, with a maximum of two. Panels have a maximum of four speakers, including the moderator.

Presentation Style and Difficulty Level

Choose between interactive and lecture-style. Interactive workshops involve active audience participation with round-table room setup and are not recorded. Lectures are set up in a traditional format, where speakers present from a stage in a theater-style room. Select the degree of content difficulty for the attendee: beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Track and Topic

Select the appropriate track and truck-related topic for your ATD workshop.

Add Speakers

Ensure all speaker profile information is accurate. You must include all speakers on this proposal, or your submission will be incomplete. If entering more than one speaker, click “Add New Presenter” after the first speaker's name is entered.

Upload Video Link

Create an original video (maximum length 90 seconds) and briefly show the presenter(s) outlining critical takeaways for participants. This video may be used to promote your workshop; please avoid any company branding or promotion. The video submission is one of the most important items considered when determining whether the ATD Board Committee accepts your proposal.

Submit Proposal

This is a summary of each section; and any incomplete sections will be identified. Once all sections are complete, click “submit proposal.” You can print a copy of the submission and will receive an email confirmation for your records. The ATD Board Committee will review, and all prospective presenters will be notified with a decision.

Important Notes:

  • Because we want to be sure presenters are well prepared and their workshops are successful, two virtual speaker orientations will be held leading up to ATD Show 2025. Speakers are required to attend both.
  • NADA/ATD does not reimburse or provide travel for workshop speakers. A per diem is offered for each day the speaker is engaged to speak.

Good luck with your submission and thank you for your interest in becoming an ATD Show 2025 workshop speaker!
