As of November 1, new and used dealers planning to sell electrified vehicles in the new year can register to submit time-of-sale reports and receive payments from the IRS for the Inflation Reduction Act’s consumer clean vehicle tax credits.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is joining NADA on a webinar to walk through how to register and use IRS Energy Credits Online, the system dealers will use to register with the IRS. IRS Energy Credits Online registration is required, and dealers should register on IRS Energy Credits Online as soon as possible, as the IRS will need time to review and confirm registration requests.
