NADA wants to help dealers
promote informed, responsible decisions by their customers about the
safe operation of cars or trucks.
Child Passenger Safety - September is Child Passenger Safety month. New-car dealers around the
country will host free child safety seat inspections at their
dealerships as part of the national "Boost for Safety" campaign,
developed by NADA, in conjunction with NHTSA.
Tire Safety - NADA has teamed up with the Rubber Manufacturers Association to promote
tire care during one week each April. Throughout the week, participating
dealers across the country will offer their customers “Be Tire Smart –
Play Your Part” campaign brochures containing simple, useful tips for
recognizing and maintaining safety. Proper tire care can also lead to
improved gas mileage.
Road Safety Grant Program - NADA member dealers are qualified to receive a one-time grant of up to
$500 toward sponsorship of a road safety event to be held at their
dealership. The grant will be made as a matching contribution to actual
funds disbursed by the dealer for expenses incurred to hold the
NADA Joins National Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign - In an effort to advance automotive safety, NADA has joined the National
Safety Council’s Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign. The campaign
is a private/public partnership to raise awareness about the proper use
of seat belts, as well as to educate the public about the lifesaving
capabilities of automobile air bags.
