Safety Recalls

Regulatory

Motor vehicle dealers and motor vehicle equipment manufacturers are required to report information that may help NHTSA identify motor vehicle safety defects. Dealers are also prohibited from selling defective or recalled parts. New motor vehicles may not be delivered until safety recall–related replacements and repairs have been made.

Applies to CAR and TRUCK dealers.
