Annette Sykora

Annette Sykora, dealer principal of Smith Ford Mercury in Slaton, Texas, and Smith South Plains Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep in Levelland, Texas, is 2008 chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association. She represents the franchised new-car dealers of northern Texas on the association's board of directors. A new-car dealer since 1989 and a member of the NADA board since 1999, Sykora serves as a member of the Industry Relations Commitee, a trustee on the National Automobile Dealer's Charitable Foundation Board, and a director on the Insurance Trust Board. Previously, she chaired NADA’s Public Affairs Committee and served on the association's Convention, Finance and ATAE/NADA committees. [More]

Vice Chairman John McEleney

John P. McEleney, president of McEleney Motors, Inc. and Southgate Motors, Ltd., Clinton, Iowa, is 2008 vice-chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association. He represents the state’s franchised new-car dealers on NADA's board of directors. A member of the NADA since 1976, McEleney is currently chairman of the association's Industry Relations Committee, a director on the Guide Company board, and a director on the Insurance Trust Board. President Phillip D. Brady

Phillip D. Brady was appointed president of the National Automobile Dealers Association in June 2001. Brady directs a staff of almost 500 employees, who carry out the activities of the association in government and industry relations, education and dealership operations, public affairs and dealer retirement and insurance programs. Prior to joining NADA, he served 5 years as the vice president and general counsel for the American Automobile Manufacturers Association, the then trade association for Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. During the Bush Administration Brady served in the White House as assistant to the president and staff secretary from 1991-1993, and in the U.S. Department of Transportation as general counsel from 1989-1991. During the Reagan Administration he served in the White House as deputy counsel to the president from 1988-1989 and as deputy assistant to the vice president from 1985-1988. Prior governmental service also includes appointments in the U.S. Department of Justice and with the U.S. Congress. [More]
