
William P. Underriner, president and co-owner of Underriner Motors in Billings, Mont., is vice chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and represents Montana’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors. In the automobile business since 1984, Underriner took over the family business in 2001. He currently owns Honda, Hyundai, Buick and Volvo franchises in Billings. Previously, he served three terms as Treasurer of NADA and on the association’s Executive, Industry Relations, Dealership Operations and Membership committees. He has also served as chairman of the association’s Finance and Convention committees. [

NADA President Phillip D. Brady

Phillip D. Brady was appointed president of the National Automobile Dealers Association in June 2001. Brady directs a staff of almost 350 employees, who carry out the activities of the association in government and industry relations, education and dealership operations, public affairs and dealer retirement and insurance programs. Prior to joining NADA, he served five years as the vice president and general counsel for the American Automobile Manufacturers Association, the then trade association for Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. During the Bush Administration, Brady served in The White House as assistant to the president and staff secretary from 1991-1993, and in the U.S. Department of Transportation as general counsel from 1989-1991. During the Reagan Administration, he served in The White House as deputy counsel to the president from 1988-1989 and as deputy assistant to the vice president from 1985-1988.
