Chief Economist, Industry Analysis
Paul C. Taylor, Ph.D., is the former Chief Economist of the National Automobile Dealers Association's Industry Analysis Division, having left the association in May 2013.
Before joining NADA in 1999, Taylor served as senior economist for America’s Community Bankers. Prior to that, he was senior economist for the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress. Taylor headed the Fiscal Policy Council and was a Senior Financial Analyst at the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a master’s and doctoral degrees in economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. In 1981, he completed his doctoral dissertation under the guidance of James Buchanan, the 1986 Nobel Laureate in economics.
