Executive Director, Industry Affairs; Managing Director, American Truck Dealers
Bert Hulgrave is executive director NADA's Industry Affairs Group, managing the activities of NADA’s Industry Relations and Industry Analysis departments, as well as the American Truck Dealers (ATD) division.
Immediately prior to joining NADA in April 2007, Hulgrave served as General Motors’ director of global retail business process, overseeing the development of retail and wholesale standards and processes. Previously, Hulgrave served as GM’s director of industry and dealer affairs, where he was primarily responsible for improving overall dealer relations and serving as the lead for all GM activities and communications with NADA and GM’s National Dealer Council.
Prior to his position at GM working directly with NADA, Hulgrave held the following executive positions in Detroit: GM University’s director, Sales, Service & Parts College; director/secretary, North America Strategy Board; and director, global conference planning.
Hulgrave began his career with GM in 1978 with Chevrolet as a district manager in Pittsburgh. He advanced through Chevrolet sales and marketing assignments in West Virginia, Detroit, San Francisco and Chicago before becoming Chevrolet’s national director of education & training in 1995.
A native of Michigan, Hulgrave received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in 1974. Married with two children, Mr. Hulgrave resides in the Washington, D.C., area.
