NADA Executive Biography
As executive vice president and chief administrative officer of NADA, Bruce M. Kelleher works closely with NADA's president and assists in the day-to-day operations and activities of the association. He oversees the activities of the association's Human Resources Department and the Dealers Election Action Committee, NADA's political action committee, and is involved in the N.A.D.A. Official Used Car GuideĀ® Company. He also serves as assistant treasurer of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation and coordinates the schedule of the NADA chairman.
Prior to his current position, Kelleher was assistant editor of the association's used car guide (1966-1972); manager of NADA's western office (1972-1975); and assistant to the executive vice president (1975-1986).
Before joining NADA, he was a sales representative for the mid-Atlantic region of Atlantic Refining Company, which is now ARCO.
Kelleher holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Maryland.
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents more than 20,000 new car and truck dealers, holding over 43,000 separate franchises, both domestic and import.
