Phillip D. Brady, President

Phillip D. Brady directs the National Automobile Dealers Association's staff of almost 500 employees. Before being appointed president in 2001, Brady served as NADA’s chief operating officer of industry affairs. Prior to joining NADA, he served 5 years as the vice president and general counsel for the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. During the administration of President George H.W. Bush, Brady served in the White House as assistant to the president and staff secretary from 1991-1993. [More]

Bruce M. Kelleher, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

As executive vice president and chief administrative officer of NADA, Bruce M. Kelleher works closely with NADA's president and assists in the day-to-day operations and activities of the association. He oversees the activities of the association's Human Resources department and the Dealers Election Action Committee, NADA's political action committee, and is involved in the Official Used Car Guide Company's operation. He also serves as assistant treasurer of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation and coordinates the schedule of the NADA chairman. Prior to his current position, Kelleher was assistant editor of the association's used car guide; manager of NADA's western office; and assistant to the executive vice president. [More]

Joseph L. Cowden, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As NADA's vice president and chief financial officer, Joseph L. Cowden directs all financial and treasury operations for the association, NADA Services Corporation and other affiliated entities. His areas of responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, investments, real estate and taxes. Mr. Cowden was most recently the director of corporate compliance for NADA. Prior to joining NADA in 2002, Mr. Cowden was a consulting CFO working with technology companies in the Washington D.C. area. He also served for five years as the controller of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association and worked in corporate finance/accounting for Watson Wyatt Worldwide. [More]

Philip E. Holland, Vice President and Plan Administrator, Retirement Administrators, Inc.

Philip E. Holland is vice president and plan administrator of the National Automobile Dealers Association Retirement Administrators, Inc. DBA NADART. NADART is a non-profit trust providing and administering 401(k), pension and profit-sharing plans for NADA members and their employees since 1957. Holland directs a staff of 130. Before joining NADA in 1975, Holland was a certified public accountant with two national accounting firms and a consulting firm. [More]

David F. Hyatt, Vice President and Chief Public Affairs Officer

David F. Hyatt oversees NADA's communications efforts, including media and public relations and publications and marketing. Hyatt is a veteran news correspondent, with an extensive background in radio and television. He is a former News Bureau Chief for the Voice of America in Bangkok and Deputy Chief in London. Hyatt has traveled to more than 40 countries on news assignments and has also covered the White House, Congress and the United Nations. In addition, Hyatt worked for many years in public relations and as a lobbyist for the real estate industry, and as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at American University in Washington, D.C. He has a Masters Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. [More]

Andrew D. Koblenz, Vice President and General Counsel

Andrew D. Koblenz is NADA's vice president and general counsel. He directs the association's Legal and Regulatory Group, which represents NADA and dealer interests before federal agencies. Koblenz supervises a staff of six attorneys specializing in franchise and state law, corporate law and federal regulatory affairs. Prior to his current position, Koblenz was vice president, industry affairs from June 2001 to February 2006. Previously, he served as NADA’s executive director and special counsel for industry affairs for two years. Before joining NADA, Mr. Koblenz served for five years as a senior attorney with the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. From 1990 through 1994, Koblenz was a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Richardson, Berlin & Morvillo. [More]

John R. Lyboldt, Vice President, Dealership Operations

John R. Lyboldt is NADA's vice president of dealer services. He directs the association’s programs to help auto dealers operate efficient and profitable businesses, including management education and 20 Group initiatives. Lyboldt has served as president of the Rochester Automobile Dealers Association (RADA) for the last 17 years. In 2005, he was elected president of the Automotive Trade Association Executives organization, which represents 112 state and metropolitan dealer associations in the U.S. and Canada. [More]

Richard E. Malaise, Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Richard E. Malaise was appointed vice president and chief information officer in March 2005, directing the activities of NADA’s Information Technology departments. Previously, he served as NADA’s director of information technology.  In that role he helped oversee many of the Information Technology departments activities and lead NADA’s involvement in the development of the auto industry’s technology standards through the Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR). [More]

Lawrence "Lin" Peacock, Jr., Vice President, Insurance Plans and Programs 

Lawrence "Lin" Peacock, Jr. is NADA's vice president, insurance plans and programs, and as such directs the administration of the National Automobile Dealers Insurance Trust and Agency. Further, he is responsible for the NADA Hole-in-One Program (ACECO) and the marketing of the Long Term Care Insurance Program. Before being appointed to his current position, Peacock was executive director of industry affairs from November 2001 to January 2006.  [More]

David W. Regan, Vice President, Legislative Affairs

As vice president of NADA's Legislative Affairs Group, David W. Regan oversees all operations of the association's Capitol Hill office, including communicating with members of Congress and their staffs, directing strategy for legislation that affects new-car and -truck dealers, and helping to coordinate NADA's Washington Conference each fall. Regan was most recently executive director of NADA's Legislative Affairs group. Before joining NADA in 1999, Regan served as legislative counsel for Senator Wendell Ford (D-Ky.), handling legislative and regulatory matters under the jurisdiction of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Michael T. Regan, Vice President, Industry Affairs

As vice president of industry affairs, Michael T. Regan directs the activities of NADA’s Industry Relations and Industry Analysis groups, as well as the American Truck Dealers (ATD) division. Prior to rejoining NADA, Regan served as AutoNation, Inc. director of industry relations, overseeing the relationship between America’s largest automotive retailer and the 23 manufacturers it represents.  He was primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with each of the major automotive manufacturers. Prior to joining AutoNation, Regan was associate director of industry relations for NADA for nearly nine years. [More]

Michael J. Stanton, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, NADA Used Car Guide

Michael J. Stanton, Jr., vice president and chief operating officer of the NADA Used Car Guide, oversees all business operations of the group, the leading data supplier of market reflective used vehicle values, serving dealers, manufacturers, financial institutions, insurance companies, government agencies and other entities.  Stanton returns to NADA Used Car Guide after serving as executive director of industry affairs where he represented dealer interests to manufacturer representatives in policy and operational areas.   Stanton began his career with NADA in 2000 as the national sales manager for the Guide Company. [More]

Anna M. Arnone, Executive Director, Dealership Operations

As executive director of NADA’s Dealership Operations Group, Anna Arnone is responsible for the administration, representation and supervision of the group’s educational and consulting services, including Management Education, Dealer Candidate Academy, Service Systems, and in-dealership consulting and training. Before being appointed to her current position in November 2001, Arnone served as NADA’s director of management education in dealership operations for 24 years. Bert Hulgrave, Executive Director, Industry Affairs

Bert Hulgrave is executive director NADA's Industry Affairs Group, managing the activities of NADA’s Industry Relations and Industry Analysis departments, as well as the American Truck Dealers (ATD) division. Immediately prior to joining NADA in April 2007, Hulgrave served as General Motors’ director of global retail business process, overseeing the development of retail and wholesale standards and processes. Previously, Hulgrave served as GM’s director of industry and dealer affairs, where he was primarily responsible for improving overall dealer relations and serving as the lead for all GM activities and communications with NADA and GM’s National Dealer Council. [More]

James Minnis is executive director and associate general counsel of NADA's Legal and Regulatory Affairs Department, where his responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation and counseling NADA’s operating units on legal issues. Robert J. Peden, Executive Director, Retirement Administrators, Inc.

As executive director, Retirement Administrators, Inc., Robert J. Peden is responsible for NADART's Plan Accounting, Trust Accounting and Information Technology groups. In that capacity, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the 2,900 dealer sponsored pension, profit-sharing and 401(k) plans under NADART’s administration. Before joining NADART, Mr. Peden was a supervisor with Coopers and Lybrand and then a senior systems accountant with the Economic Development Administration. [More]

Stephen R. Pitt, Executive Director, Conventions and Expositions

As executive director of NADA's Conventions and Expositions Group, Stephen R. Pitt directs the planning, staging and execution of NADA's annual convention and exposition, and that of the association's American Truck Dealers Division convention and exposition. The group coordinates over 400 meetings and seminars annually. Prior to his current position, Pitt was manager and later director of the association's Conventions and Expositions Department. Before joining NADA, Pitt held a management position with ITT Sheraton Corp. [More]

Ivette Rivera, Executive Director, Legislative Affairs

As executive director of NADA's Legislative Affairs group, Ivette Rivera works with the vice president, legislative affairs to develop overall legislative strategy and oversee day-to-day operations of the association's Capitol Hill office. A 21-year employee of NADA, Ms. Rivera was most recently the director of Legislative Affairs.  During that time she was instrumental in obtaining Congressional passage of two dealer-specific public laws. Marc H. Stertz, Executive Director, Publications

Marc H. Stertz is executive director, publications, in the NADA Public Affairs Group.  In this role, he serves as publisher of NADA's flagship publication, AutoExec magazine, and has responsibility for the numerous public affairs-generated print and on-line publications, as well as media production for the association.  In addition, he serves as co-executive producer of NADA TV, the on-line and closed-circuit televised news program that is broadcast at-and-about NADA's annual convention and exposition. James H. Westlake is executive director of NADA's American Truck Dealers Division, which represents the interests of more than 2,000 medium- and heavy-duty truck dealers. His responsibilities include legislative initiatives, government relations, industry relations, membership, education and ATD consulting services and management of an annual convention and equipment exposition. Paul C. Taylor, Chief Economist, Industry Analysis

Paul Taylor, Ph.D., is Chief Economist of the National Automobile Dealers Association's Industry Analysis Department, where he oversees NADA’s industry analysis activities, which include research on a wide range of factors impacting the retail automotive industry and publishing NADA’s annual compilation of facts and figures, titled NADA DATA. He will also serve as spokesperson for the association on economic and business issues. [More]
