Phillip D. Brady, President
Phillip D. Brady was appointed president of the National Automobile Dealers Association in June 2001. Brady directs a staff of almost 350 employees, who carry out the activities of the association in government and industry relations, education and dealership operations, public affairs and dealer retirement and insurance programs. Prior to joining NADA, he served five years as the vice president and general counsel for the American Automobile Manufacturers Association, the then trade association for Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. During the Bush Administration, Brady served in The White House as assistant to the president and staff secretary from 1991-1993, and in the U.S. Department of Transportation as general counsel from 1989-1991. Bruce M. Kelleher, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
As executive vice president and chief administrative officer of NADA, Bruce M. Kelleher works closely with NADA's president and assists in the day-to-day operations and activities of the association. He oversees the activities of the association's Human Resources department and the Dealers Election Action Committee, NADA's political action committee, and is involved in the Official Used Car Guide Company's operation. He also serves as assistant treasurer of the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation and coordinates the schedule of the NADA chairman. Joseph L. Cowden, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As NADA's vice president and chief financial officer, Joseph L. Cowden directs all financial and treasury operations for the association, NADA Services Corporation and other affiliated entities. His areas of responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, investments, real estate and taxes. Mr. Cowden was most recently the director of corporate compliance for NADA. Prior to joining NADA in 2002, Mr. Cowden was a consulting CFO working with technology companies in the Washington D.C. area. He also served for five years as the controller of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association and worked in corporate finance/accounting for Watson Wyatt Worldwide. [More] |

David F. Hyatt, Vice President and Chief Public Affairs Officer
David F. Hyatt oversees NADA's communications efforts, including media and public relations and publications and marketing. Hyatt is a veteran news correspondent, with an extensive background in radio and television. He is a former News Bureau Chief for the Voice of America in Bangkok and Deputy Chief in London. Hyatt has traveled to more than 40 countries on news assignments and has also covered the White House, Congress and the United Nations. In addition, Hyatt worked for many years in public relations and as a lobbyist for the real estate industry, and as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at American University in Washington, D.C. Andrew D. Koblenz, Vice President and General Counsel
Andrew D. Koblenz is NADA's vice president and general counsel. He directs the association's Legal and Regulatory Group, which represents NADA and dealer interests before federal agencies. Koblenz supervises a staff of six attorneys specializing in franchise and state law, corporate law and federal regulatory affairs. Prior to his current position, Koblenz was vice president, industry affairs from June 2001 to February 2006. Previously, he served as NADA’s executive director and special counsel for industry affairs for two years. Before joining NADA, Mr. Koblenz served for five years as a senior attorney with the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. John R. Lyboldt, Vice President, Dealership Operations
John R. Lyboldt is NADA's vice president of dealer services. He directs the association’s programs to help auto dealers operate efficient and profitable businesses, including management education and 20 Group initiatives. Lyboldt has served as president of the Rochester Automobile Dealers Association (RADA) for the last 17 years. In 2005, he was elected president of the Automotive Trade Association Executives organization, which represents 112 state and metropolitan dealer associations in the U.S. and Canada. [More] |

Richard E. Malaise, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Richard E. Malaise was appointed vice president and chief information officer in March 2005, directing the activities of NADA’s Information Technology departments. Previously, he served as NADA’s director of information technology. In that role he helped oversee many of the Information Technology departments activities and lead NADA’s involvement in the development of the auto industry’s technology standards through the Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR). Betsy Piper/Bach, Vice President, NADA Retirement Administrators, Inc.
Betsy Piper/Bach was appointed vice president of NADA Retirement Administrators, Inc. (NADART) in July 2009. Prior to joining NADART she was president of Cardinal Wealth Management, Cardinal Bank, McLean, Va., which is the trustee to the NADART Retirement Plan. As a subsidiary of NADA, NADART — based in McLean, Va. — has managed and administered 401(k), pension and profit-sharing plans since 1957. Stephen R. Pitt, Vice President, Conventions and Expositions
As vice president of NADA's Conventions and Expositions Group, Stephen R. Pitt directs the planning, staging and execution of NADA's annual convention and exposition, and that of the association's American Truck Dealers Division convention and exposition. David W. Regan, Vice President, Legislative Affairs
As vice president of NADA's Legislative Affairs Group, David W. Regan oversees all operations of the association's Capitol Hill office, including communicating with members of Congress and their staffs, directing strategy for legislation that affects new-car and -truck dealers, and helping to coordinate NADA's Washington Conference each fall. Regan was most recently executive director of NADA's Legislative Affairs group. Before joining NADA in 1999, Regan served as legislative counsel for Senator Wendell Ford (D-Ky.), handling legislative and regulatory matters under the jurisdiction of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. As vice president of industry affairs, Michael T. Regan directs the activities of NADA’s Industry Relations and Industry Analysis groups, as well as the American Truck Dealers (ATD) division. Prior to rejoining NADA, Regan served as AutoNation, Inc. director of industry relations, overseeing the relationship between America’s largest automotive retailer and the 23 manufacturers it represents. He was primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with each of the major automotive manufacturers. Michael J. Stanton, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, NADA Used Car Guide
Michael J. Stanton, Jr., vice president and chief operating officer of the NADA Used Car Guide, oversees all business operations of the group, the leading data supplier of market reflective used vehicle values, serving dealers, manufacturers, financial institutions, insurance companies, government agencies and other entities. Stanton returns to NADA Used Car Guide after serving as executive director of industry affairs where he represented dealer interests to manufacturer representatives in policy and operational areas. Bert Hulgrave, Executive Director, Industry Affairs
Bert Hulgrave is executive director NADA's Industry Affairs Group, managing the activities of NADA’s Industry Relations and Industry Analysis departments, as well as the American Truck Dealers (ATD) division. Ivette Rivera, Executive Director, Legislative Affairs

Paul C. Taylor, Chief Economist, Industry Analysis
Paul Taylor, Ph.D., is Chief Economist of the National Automobile Dealers Association's Industry Analysis Department, where he oversees NADA’s industry analysis activities, which include research on a wide range of factors impacting the retail automotive industry and publishing NADA’s annual compilation of facts and figures, titled NADA DATA.
