Joseph Hanley, Jr., president of Inter Pacific Motors, Inc., Hilo, Hawaii, represents that state’s franchised new-car dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association's board of directors.
A member of NADA since 1969, Hanley currently serves on the association’s Policy and Bylaws and Government Relations committees. Previously, he served as president (2003-2004) and director (2002) of the Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association (HADA).
Active in his community, Hanley was director of the Hawaii Island Chamber from 2005 through 2006, and was also a community service director for the Rotary Club of Hilo in 1990.
Hanley attended the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy in McLean, Va.
He resides in Hilo, Hawaii with his wife Diana. They have three children.
Hanley’s hobbies include gym, surfing, traveling, cooking and fishing.
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents more than 20,000 franchised new car and truck dealers holding nearly 43,000 separate franchises, domestic and international.
