Jeff Carlson, president of Glenwood Springs Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, represents that state's franchised new-car dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association's board of directors.
A franchised dealer since 1978 and a member of NADA since 1987, Carlson is currently vice president and board director of the Colorado Dealer Licensing Board, which is appointed by the Governor. Previously, he was president and 2nd vice president of the Colorado Dealer Licensing Board. Carlson was also chairman, vice chairman, director and secretary for the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, and past president of the Ford Dealer Ad Fund.
Active in his community, Carlson served as president for the Lions Club, Valley View Hospital and Valley View Hospital Foundation.
Carlson earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents more than 20,000 new car and truck dealers, holding over 43,000 separate franchises, both domestic and import.
