William H. Willis, Jr., president of Willis Chevrolet, Inc., Smyrna, Del., represents that state's franchised new-car and -truck dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association's board of directors.
 
A new-car dealer and a member of NADA since 1985, Willis is currently the association’s chairman of the Dealership Operations Committee and is a member of the ATAE/NADA Committee. He is also chair of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), a board member of the Philadelphia Advertising Board and the PNC DE Bank Board. Previously, Willis was chairman of the Dealers Election Action Committee (DEAC) of the Delaware Automobile and Truck Dealers Association. He was also president of the Delaware Automobile and Truck Dealers Association, chair for the Insurance Trust, and a member of the Philadelphia Branch Dealer Council.

Active in the community, Willis is vice president of the Delaware Business Roundtable, the W.V. Weselyan National President’s Advisory Council and the Washington College Parent Board. He formerly served as chairman of Ducks Unlimited, was a member of the University of Delaware Parent Board and the Dartmouth College Parent Board.

Willis is also a member of the State Delaware Greenway and Trails Council.

He received the Alumni Achievement Award in 1993 from W. VA Wesleyan College, the TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award from Time Magazine in 1993 and the DEAC National Outstanding Achievement Award in 2002. Willis also received the Life Membership Award in 1988, for volunteering at the Smyrna Fire Company.
 
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents more than 20,000 franchised new car and truck dealers holding nearly 43,000 separate franchises, domestic and international.
