Kathleen Sims, co-owner and general manager of Coeur d’Alene Honda and Kia, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is an at-large member of the National Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors.

A new-car dealer and a member of NADA since 1976, Sims currently serves on the association’s Dealership Operations and Regulatory Affairs committees. Previously, she served on the ATAE/NAD, Public Affairs, Convention, and Government Relations committees. She is also a member of the Idaho Auto Dealers Association’s board of directors. Sims is also a state legislative director for the American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA), from which she received its Top Gun Award in 1995.

In 2001, Sims was appointed by Idaho’s Governor Kempthorne to fill a two-year vacancy in the Idaho State Senate. She served five years on the Idaho Coeur d’Alene’s Chamber of Commerce and five years on the Idaho Human Rights Commission, appointed by Idaho Governor Phil Batt. She is past vice-chairwoman of the Idaho Republican Party and was a delegate to the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Republican National Conventions.
