David Shepherd, president of Shepherd Team Auto Plaza in Fort Scott, Kan., represents that state’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors.
A member of NADA for more than 30 years, Shepherd previously served as chairman of the Kansas Automobile Dealers Association and the National Dodge Dealer Council Executive Committee.
Active in his community, Shepherd currently serves on the board of the Mercy Health Systems of Kansas and Kansas Historical Society. He is past president of the Fort Scott Rotary Club and the Bourbon County Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as a trustee for First Christian Church.
In 2007, Shepherd was a finalist for the TIME Magazine Dealer of the Year award. Shepherd attended McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., and received a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration in 1970.
