William J. Schicker, president of MacMahon Ford Company, St. Louis, Mo., represents that state’s franchised new-car dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association's board of directors.
Schicker became a member of NADA in 1975. He is a member of the Ford Community Relations Committee, the Federated Automobile Dealers Advisory Board and the Missouri Motor Vehicle Commission. Previously, He was president of the St. Louis Metro Ford Dealers Association and the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association.
Active in the community, Schicker is currently the director on the advisory board of the Boys Club of St. Louis and an executive committee member of the Urban League of Metro St. Louis.
He is also president on the Board of Alderman of the City of Shrewsbury, chairman of the U.S. Attorney Selection Commission and commissioner of the St. Louis County Police Department.
Schicker served in the U.S. Navy as a Third Class Petty Officer.
He received the TIME Quality Dealer of the Year Award, the United Way Family Volunteer Award from JC Penney, the Volunteer Family of the Year Award from Catholics Family Services and the Hero of the Planet Award from Ford Motor Company.
