Tamara C. Darvish, vice president of DARCARS Automotive Group, Silver Spring, Md., represents the Washington, DC, metropolitan area new-car dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors.
Darvish currently serves on the Dealership Operations Committee and as a Chrysler representative on the Industry Relations Committee. She holds positions on the Toyota and Chrysler dealer councils. In 1988, she was elected to the Toyota Dealer Advertising Association, and in 1993 she became the secretary/treasurer of the council, a position she holds today. She has served as a member of the Washington New Auto Dealers Association since 1995, and she recently became the first woman chairman of WANADA.
Active in her community, Darvish is co-chair of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Bobby Mitchell Hall of Fame Classic.
Darvish is a graduate of Northwood University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an association’s degree in automotive marketing.
The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents about 19,700 new car and truck dealers holding more than 40,000 separate franchises, both domestic and international.
