A.J.M. “Butch” Oustalet, III, owner of Butch Oustalet Inc. in Gulfport, Miss., represents that state’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors.
A member of NADA since 1984, is currently chairman of the Mississippi Automobile Dealers Association’s SIF Fund. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Mississippi association and Finance Chairman of the National Ford Dealer Council. He has also held positions with the New Orleans District Advertising Fund, Mississippi Motor Vehicle Commission and Mississippi State Port Authority. Oustalet has been a member of the New Orleans District Advertising Fund since 1984 and served as the fund’s president in 1988 and 1997.
Active in his community, Oustalet is a member of the board for the Memorial Hospital Foundation and has served as Chairman of the American Heart Association’s Gulf Coast office.
Oustalet has won numerous awards, including the TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award in 2000. In 2005, he received an award from the American Red Cross and in 2007 he received an Oschner Foundation Donor Wall Award.
Oustalet attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Northwood Institute in Midland, Mich.
