Kenneth C. Vance, president of Ken Vance Motors, Inc., Eau Claire, Wis., represents that state’s franchised new-vehicle dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors.
Vance served as director of the Wisconsin Auto and Truck Dealers Association from 1994 to 1999, and was Chairman of the Board for WATDA in 2000. In 2007 and 2008, Vance served on the WATDA Foundation Board of Directors.
Active in his community, Vance has served as Chairman of the Foundation for the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, as well as a part-time faculty member of the university’s Institute of Leadership. He is also a founder of the Eau Claire Community Foundation, a tax-exempt public charity created by and for the Eau Claire community.
In 1990, Vance was named an honorary alumnus of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and in 2005 he received the “Small Business of the Year” award from the local chamber of commerce.
Vance and his wife, Roberta, live in Eau Claire. They have three children, Christopher, Suzanne, and Jason, who each hold positions at the family’s dealerships.
