Board of Directors — Indiana
David L. Cox, president of W. Hare & Son, Noblesville, Ind., represents Indiana’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors.
A member of NADA since 1975, Cox is also on the Indianapolis Auto Trade Association’s board of directors. Previously, he served as president, vice president and secretary of the Indianapolis association. He also served as president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and district director of the Automobile Dealers Association of Indiana.
Active in his community, Cox currently serves on the following boards: Riverview Hospital Foundation, 50 Club of Hamilton County, Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, and Janus Development Services, Inc. He also is a member of several social organizations, including the Noblesville Elks Club, Hideaway Branch Club, Sagamore Country Club, Harbour Trees Country Club, Marco Island Yacht Club, Lely Golf Club, and Skyline Club. Previously, he served as a Noblesville First Methodist Church trustee and on the church’s Staff Parish Relations Committee. He also served on the Noblesville Redevelopment Commission from 1994 to 2006.
Cox received the Jack Smith Dealer of the Year Award in 2005, Chevrolet Genuine Leader in 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2005, and the Oldsmobile Elite Mark of Excellence in 2001 to 2004. He is also the recipient of the Herman Goodin Civic Service Award in 2000, NADA Century Award in 1995, and the Northwood University Dealer Education Award in 1995. He was a finalist for the
Time Quality Dealer Award in 2006.
Cox attended Noblesville High School and Purdue University.
