Thomas Dolan, president of Dolan Enterprises, Inc., Reno, Nev., represents that state’s franchised dealers on the association’s board of directors.
A dealership owner and a member of NADA since 1982, Dolan began his career in the automotive business in 1968. He has held numerous industry positions, including president of the Reno-Sparks New Car Dealers Association and director of the Nevada Franchised Auto Dealers Association. Since 1997, he has served as president of the Toyota Dealers Association, and since 1982, has served as the state representative to the American International Automobile Dealers Association.
Active in civic affairs, Dolan has devoted time and effort to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), the International Special Olympics, the Reno Continental Little League and the South Reno Babe Ruth league. Since 1991, he has served as vice president of the Care Chest of Northern Nevada. In recognition of his efforts, the MDA named him Man of the Year in 1990.
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in McLean, Va., represents more than 20,000 new car and truck dealers, holding over 43,000 separate franchises, both domestic and import.
