William J. Adamson, president of Adamson Motors Inc., Rochester, Minn., represents Minnesota’s franchised new-car dealers on NADA's board of directors.
An automobile dealer and a member of NADA since 1949, Adamson has franchises for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, Mercury and Hyundai. He is currently on the ATAE/NADA and Regulatory Affairs committees. Previously, he was NADA’s secretary and vice chairman for Region III, and served on the association’s Government Relations, Industry Relations and Nominating committees. He was also a trustee of the Minnesota Automobile Dealers Association, where he served as president and director.
In 1995, Adamson was a national winner of the TIME Quality Dealer Award, which is sponsored by TIME, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and NADA, to honor professional excellence and community leadership.
Adamson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
