McLEAN, Va. (March 18, 2010) – NADA University—the new online education and training resource for auto dealers and their staffs designed to enhance business performance—has announced that four on-site, week-long management seminars will begin in April as part of its NADA-ATD Learning Hub component.
With a focus on fixed operations and financial management, the upcoming seminars include:
- Advanced Service Management – Delivering powerful and proven techniques for service managers and staff to: increase gross and net profit in the service department; boost the effectiveness of service advisors; and create a “leader,” not just a “manager,” in service operations. The sessions will be led by NADA Academy instructor Bob Atwood.
(When: April 5 to 9, Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. Cost: $1,850 per person, not including travel-related expenses.)
- Advanced Manage by the Numbers – Training for GMs, controllers and staff to: develop strong processes for collecting cash in a timely manner; increase volume and inventory turns to have a positive impact on the bottom line; better evaluate receivables and inventories; use performance tools to identify opportunities and develop action plans to maximize them; and use expense tools to identify excesses on the manufacturer’s financial statement. The sessions will be led by NADA Academy instructor George Grabowski.
(When: April 12 to 16, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: $1,850 per person, not including travel-related expenses.)
- Advanced Parts and DMS Management – Providing parts managers and staff with the information they need to: increase net profit through variable pricing; use the DMS statement and summary to monitor and increase profits; create a system of consistent functions for a high-impact first-time fill rate; and construct the dealership’s Parts Inventory Scoreboard to record improvements. The sessions will be led by NADA Academy instructor Chris Bavis.
(When: June 14 to 18, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: $1,850 per person, not including travel-related expenses.)
- Advanced Heavy-Truck Service Management – Training designed to: increase gross and net profit in the service department; boost the effectiveness of service advisors; and create a “leader,” not just a “manager,” in service operations. The sessions will be led by NADA Academy instructor Bob Atwood and Allen Phibbs, CPA and professional advisor with Keith Ely & Associates.
(When: August 23 to 27, Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. Cost: $1,850 per person, not including travel-related expenses.)
