Dear Fellow Dealer:
Our business has always run on a specific economic cycle, and the past decade only exaggerated the high/low swings in sales volume and profitability. Federal regulations implemented in 2002, 2007 and 2010 made their mark on all market segments, all geographic regions, and all classes of commercial vehicles. Thankfully, 2011 finished on a high note – and hopefully your business shared in the sales surge. While not all regions or markets shared equally in the strengthening economy, the overall picture is one of hope for truck dealers.
ATD is keenly aware of these and other challenges facing dealers today. As your trade association, we’re working hard to educate legislators and regulators, smoothing the way for practical and efficient governance of our industry. The attached summary is our report card to you, detailing the critical issues facing Commercial Vehicle Dealers and the actions ATD is taking on your behalf.
A more detailed explanation of ATD legislative/regulatory actions will be included in the upcoming annual convention February 3-6, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nev. Please join me and your fellow Dealers at the industry’s only gathering dedicated to Dealers and our interests. Together we are “Leading the Way.”
Regards,

Kyle Treadway
