Dealer Attitude Survey

NADA Dealer Attitude Survey Goes
Exclusively Online!

NADA’s Industry Relations group gathers dealer opinions on the industry’s franchises through the biannual NADA Dealer Attitude Survey. The purpose of the survey is to help enhance the dealer/manufacturer relationship.

The survey measures dealer opinions on important topics such as franchise value, the dealer/manufacturer relationship and, along with other operational areas of industry interest, the helpfulness of manufacturer personnel.

Beginning with the Summer 2008 Dealer Attitude Survey, NADA will be upgrading the way franchised dealers receive, complete and submit the survey. Under the new system, NADA will no longer mail paper surveys to dealers.  Dealers must fill out a brief registration form online at the Dealer Attitude Survey Web site (www.nadasurvey.com) to participate in the Summer survey.

At the Web site, dealers must register their dealership(s) to receive a unique User ID that will allow them to access and complete the survey online. Those who sign up prior to the survey start date will receive their User ID via email on July 7.

Action Required By All Dealers

Signing up to take the Dealer Attitude Survey is simple.

• Click on the “Register” tab on the top left side of the DAS Web site (www.nadasurvey.com). The registration form will appear.

• Fill in the dealership’s name and address, which franchises are at that location, and registered user information. Information for up to six individual dealerships can be entered in one session. Dealers can use multiple sessions if they have more than six dealerships.

• After completing the registration form, a screen will appear thanking dealers for their submission, and will give them an opportunity to review or change the information that was provided. Dealers can then click “Finish” to complete the process. A screen will appear stating that the registration form has been successfully submitted.

All dealers must register to receive a User ID and take the survey, including those who “subscribed” in the past to receive an email notification about the DAS. This is a one-time registration process, except for revisions needed as a result of changes at the dealership.

As always, the Dealer Attitude Survey remains completely confidential.  Manufacturers never see a dealer’s individual responses. The responses for dealers with the same franchise are combined are reported together by franchise, market group (e.g., European, Luxury, etc.) and geographic region.
